Biography

I’ve spent nearly three decades working in industries where people constantly ask the questions: Who?WhatWhere? WhenHow? And, maybe most important, Why? The Implementation Science Center (ISC) asks those same questions with the goal of improving health care across a wide range of communities, organizations, and environments.

My undergraduate education focused on how to efficiently get solutions to customers. During my graduate studies, I looked at how human activity impacts the environment around us. My industry experience involved transforming academic ideas into functioning companies that created value for others. I see all three of these happening within the ISC, and I’m excited to work in a supporting role for the center.

My first engineering mentor told me, “You have all the tools you need in your toolbox, you just need to learn how to use them.” He was partially correct. There are still many more tools to acquire, and I have a long way to go to learn how to fully use any of them. But I’m eager for the journey.
